Connect Pomo to Claude

Ask Claude about your brand's marketing, and have it draft campaigns, posts and outreach that you review and confirm in Pomo. This guide covers connecting, what Claude can do, what it does not do, and how to manage the connection.

Last Updated: October 2, 2026

What you can do

Once connected, Claude works from the same data and the same rules as the Pomo app, for the company profiles you choose:

  • Catch up. Your AI team's daily insights and staged decisions, campaign performance, social listening, trends, competitor ads, connected sales and web traffic.
  • Inspect. A saved campaign's copy, budget, dates and creative; a social post; the campaign calendar; SEO and AI-visibility reports; saved articles and PR stories.
  • Draft. New campaigns and posts, ad copy edits, articles, lead outreach emails and influencer campaign plans. Images for a campaign or post are generated inside Pomo as part of that draft. Drafts are saved in Pomo with a review card.
  • Decide. Agree with or dismiss an insight, approve or defer a staged decision, and confirm a review, from Claude or from Pomo.

Where Claude shows Pomo cards, you will see the same insight, decision, calendar and review views as in Pomo, with an Also in Pomo link to open the original.

Images, video and outreach in Claude

  • No standalone image or video generation. Claude has no Pomo tool that generates an image or a video on its own. To create or refine a standalone image or video, use Pomo directly.
  • Images in drafts. When Claude drafts a campaign or a social post, Pomo generates the images for that draft inside Pomo and saves them to your Asset Library as part of the draft. Claude shows a preview and a link to the saved file that expires after one hour. The original stays in your Asset Library.
  • Video in drafts. A campaign or post draft that uses video saves its copy and an opening frame, and the same saved work then shows a Render video review with its terms. Rendering always runs inside Pomo and starts only when you confirm that review, from Claude or from Pomo. The finished video is saved to your Asset Library and attached to the draft.
  • An image from your device. Ask Claude to open Pomo's image picker. You choose the file, check its preview and save it to your Asset Library, and can then use it in a draft.
  • Outreach email. Claude drafts the email to a lead and saves the draft in Pomo. Claude cannot send it, and a send review that is waiting is confirmed in Pomo, not from Claude. You send the email from Pomo through your own connected Gmail account after reviewing it there, where the review shows the recipient address, or copy it into your own mailbox.
  • People found by research. Lead, press and creator research uses public sources. The Privacy Policy lists the sources and explains how a person who was found can ask to be removed.

Before you start

  • A Pomo account on a plan that includes assistant access, and access to the company profile you want to connect. Your plan and permissions apply to everything Claude does.
  • Assistant access enabled for that profile. A profile administrator can turn it off under Brand Profile › MCP connections; if it is off, the connection is refused.
  • A Claude account. The connection works in Claude.ai, Claude Desktop, Claude mobile and Claude Code.

Connect

  1. In Claude, open Connectors (under Customize or Settings), find Pomo and choose Connect. If Pomo is not listed for your account, add a custom connector with the URL https://api.usepomo.ai/mcp.
  2. Claude sends you to Pomo. Sign in to Pomo if you are not already.
  3. Choose the organization and the company profiles Claude may use. You can select several; each is checked separately against your permissions and plan.
  4. Review the permissions. Pomo asks for everything it can grant so you do not have to reconnect later: reading your marketing data, creating and updating marketing work in each area, and saving files you share. Every change still needs your confirmation before it takes effect.
  5. Choose Allow. Claude returns to your conversation, connected.

Pomo records the connection under Brand Profile › MCP connections for each selected profile, with the assistant's name and when it was connected.

Try it

  • "Give me a daily catch-up for Jellycat."
  • "What is my AI team recommending this week, and what does it want me to decide?"
  • "How did our Meta campaigns do over the last 14 days?"
  • "What are people saying about us on Reddit and TikTok this month?"
  • "Show me what's running on the calendar this week."
  • "Draft a Meta campaign for the new autumn range using the insight about gifting."
  • "Draft an Instagram post for the autumn range and show me the image."
  • "Draft an outreach email to the lead I saved at Acme Retail."
  • "Change the headline on the square ad to lead with free shipping."

Claude works one company profile at a time. If you connected several, name the brand in your request or Claude will ask which one you mean.

How confirmation works

When Claude prepares something that changes your marketing, Pomo saves it as work with a review: the exact copy, images, budget, dates, targeting or schedule involved. Claude shows you every term. To go ahead, either press the confirm button on the review card or tell Claude yes; Claude then confirms the same review Pomo would, and the saved work carries on: rendering a draft's video, scheduling or launching. A review to send an email, or one left by a standalone video request made outside Claude, is confirmed in Pomo.

  • Copy and images usually take one to five minutes to generate; a video can take up to ten. Claude checks progress while you wait.
  • Paid campaign launches also ask you to acknowledge the budget and spend terms before they can be confirmed.
  • If your organization uses Change Management approvals, those are decided in Pomo, not in Claude.
  • You can always open the work in Pomo from the Also in Pomo link and decide there instead.

Manage or disconnect

  • In Pomo: open Brand Profile › MCP connections. You will see your connected assistants, an activity history of what each one requested and the outcome, and a Disconnect button. Profile administrators also see other members' connections and can Disable assistant access for the whole profile.
  • In Claude: remove Pomo from your connectors. Pomo revokes the connection's access immediately either way.
  • Reconnect needed: if Pomo's data permissions change, existing connections stop until you go through the consent screen again. The MCP connections tab says so, and Claude will prompt you to reconnect.

Your data

Pomo shares data only from the company profiles you selected, within the permissions you approved. Claude's provider receives the results Pomo returns for your requests and handles them under its own privacy policy; Pomo receives the requests Claude sends and their arguments, and does not otherwise see your conversation. Every request is recorded in the profile's activity history without storing the request's arguments or any provider credentials. Images generated for a draft are saved to your Asset Library, and Claude receives a preview and a link that expires after one hour. See the Connected AI Assistants section of our Privacy Policy.

Troubleshooting

  • Claude says an operation is not ready for a profile. The reason is in the result, usually a platform account that needs connecting or a plan limit, with a link to the Pomo page that fixes it. Reconnecting Claude does not change this.
  • Claude only sees a few read tools. Your connection was granted read access only. Disconnect in Pomo and connect again; the consent screen now offers the full permission set.
  • Claude cannot show an image. Not every Claude surface renders cards or pictures. Use the Also in Pomo or Open saved image link Claude includes.
  • The connection stopped working. Check Brand Profile › MCP connections: it shows whether the connection is active, needs reconnecting, was disconnected, or whether assistant access was disabled for the profile.
  • Something else. Email support@usepomo.ai with the brand name and, if you have it, the time of the request from the activity history.
